Welcome to my website!

I am Assistant Professor at the Department of Social Sciences of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Previously, I was a ‘Juan de la Cierva’ postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Political Science and International Relations at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Before coming to Madrid in September 2012, I worked as a lecturer at the Chair of Political Science and International Comparative Research at the University of Mannheim. In 2007 I enrolled in the Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences and got my PhD from the University of Mannheim in October 2011.

My research relates to citizens’ political attitudes and behaviours. I am particularly interested in the processes by which political participation and political orientations develop, as well as how contextual and individual determinants interact in these processes. I am also interested in how diverse research methodologies and techniques can be used to develop this research field further. In this website you can find more information about my academic work.
